Reflections from Seminary Life: April 2012

http://reflectionsfromseminary.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Reflections from Seminary Life. Monday, April 16, 2012. Within the last half an hour I've felt overwhelmingly compelled to begin again as a blogger. I initially wondered if what I wanted to capture in writing would not be better committed to a personal journal rather than a public format, as I am bound, of necessity, to regret later what I write now. But, journals get lost, and publicly airing my thoughts does hold a certain level of appeal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Reflections from QualityTime

Thursday, 10 April 2014. All Original versus New Parts Seiko Watches. We have a very strong and clear opinion of this debate - it is entirely up to you! Look's great doesn't it? Now I am using the analogy of a wrecked Vintage Jag advisedly here because the restoration job on this Jag would not have used all original parts. Does that mean it is no longer a Jag, that somehow it has been devalued? Monday, 30 December 2013. SEIKO 7002 VINTAGE SUBMARINER DIVERS PLANET OCEAN WATCH LIMITED EDITION NO. 3. Reason...

Reflections from Room 211. Saturday, June 9, 2012. What I Have Recently Learned About The Flipped Classroom. Last week I had the honor to attend a workshop from the co-creator of the Flipped Classroom concept, Aaron Sams. While I had been researching the concept of a Flipped Classroom for many months, it was an awesome opportunity to learn from the expert who has spent the past six years working out the kinks to perfect this concept in his classroom. reflections from solitude | and silence

July 25, 2012. It’s the moments in life when you realize that you need help beyond yourself that you realize that you haven’t actually “got it all together” in the way that you have been feigning. My prayer this morning comes directly from Psalm 5:. Give ear to my words, O Lord,. Listen to my cry for help,. My King and my God,. For to you I pray. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice;. In the morning, I lay my requests before you. And wait in expectation. But I, by your great mercy,. April 30, 2012.

Odd Thoughts

Monday, March 21, 2016. I've been re-reading some of my favorite HP fanfics, and, after 17 years in the fandom, finally noticed something about the houses. The problem is that Hufflepuff's defining trait isn't weakness: it's hard work. And Slytherin's isn't evil; it's ambition. What if we have it backwards? If the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins aren't being kept apart to protect the kids? If it's to prevent them from cooperating? But if Hufflepuff and Slytherin start cooperating, ambition and hard work.
