Connecticut Crandall - 2012: September 2012
http://connecticutcrandall.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. Jumping ahead to fall in love with the season. And sporting cinnamon-scented pine cones before October arrives. Lois also left me with apple crisp to serve hot over ice-cream, but I'm a bit stuffed from the omelet I had for dinner. Perhaps I will indulge tomorrow. On second thought, smelling this in Connecticut and missing my wood burning stove on a Saturday night, I think I will serve myself the treat immediately. Where did the summer season go? Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Connecticut Crandall - 2012: August 2012

Friday, August 31, 2012. Yep, stupid is me. I went for a walk and left through the garage where I jumped the trigger for the garage door so it would shut without popping back up. Why is this dumb? Well, because my keys and my cell phone were inside. I thought, "No problem," because I figured Weijing would be back from class soon (at least by the time I got home). And that is what I did in Connecticut. Yep. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Because we live in odd times, and. Optimally, I want to save money.

Connecticut Crandall - 2012: April 2012
http://connecticutcrandall.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 30, 2012. I think it was 1994 when I first heard this song and found it to be the marker of my educational history, the final decade of the 20th century, and an unknowing theme of what the future would hold. I laugh, though, because one of my freshmen recently entered the song as his one and only song that he would want to stay with him for his entire life. Help me believe in anything. I want to be someone who believes". And, yes, I did feel quite symbolic yesterday. Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Twas the day before Christmas, and all through my house.all I could think about was getting my sisters drunk! Thanks to Clement Clarke Moore for his classic (as for my sisters.well, we shall see). A Visit from St. Nicholas. Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,. In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds,.

Saturday, December 27, 2014. Another Syracuse Tradition I Love - Hiking with Rhiannon Berry Around Onondaga Lake (minus the pollution). If you look hard enough you can see the city of Syracuse in the far distance. This was the return portion of our Saturday walk at Onondaga Lake park, one day after the holiday festivities and on a rare, blue-sky kind of day where jackets were optional. I wish the sky cleared up like this before I went for my morning run. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In Love, War, ...

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Home Sweet Home. I love my little piece of holiday: the lights, the abode, and knowing I have my own pillow tonight. After a journey home to Connecticut, an office holiday party in Orange, a little time in the kitchen to prepare, and some unpacking, I finally settled into my living room to call it a night. It's been 7 days of celebrating and I am feeling very thankful to have the time to spend with my family in Syracuse and the safety of being in my own bed this evening. Yeste...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. In a World Of Restless Sleep, Crandall Makes Another Attempt To Find the Perfect Pillow. I Want The Hotel Feel. I slept well at my parents. A part of this is after years of discussing with them that the mattress they took from my grandfather and moved into my room once I departed for college was hard as a rock. I'm not exaggerating. The bed was like sleeping on wood. Last year, they replaced the bed with an incredible mattress and, I must admit, I slept wonderfully on it.

Saturday, August 8, 2015. And It Is A Saturday. Yesterday, I Left The Last Day of Literacy Labs and Got To See Emily Perform in Bethlehem. Today, she embarks on a train trip to Nebraska to see her boyfriend and with her goes the sunshine that is her entire being. It also means an end to summer visitors, as Abu and Lossine made it safely to Syracuse yesterday afternoon (no, the television was not turned on once today). Finally, the 6-Word Memoir titles to sum up the college essay and narrative lab. The Do...
