The title of the post is a little nod to this 80’s piece of cinematography. Though, I was (and still am) completely terrified of that movie. Moving right along, on Friday four of my favorite girlfriends and I loaded up in a big red truck with two dogs and headed for a weekend of leisure and nature in Homer, Alaska. Boats, and headed out into Kachemak Bay.

After weeks of super cold temps (most days dipping below the 0 mark) we finally, f.i.n.a.l.l.y. got our snow. All at once. It snowed approximately 6 inches at our house on Monday and then another foot Tuesday evening and Wednesday. That’s a lot of snow! And, a lot of shoveling. I also have this miniature guy at work. Silver tree overload? Or, just right?
