Friday, April 24, 2009. New banners, you decide! After Gimping around for a few hours, here's two pretty rough drafts for possible banners. I like the second one a lot, but not all the clutter in the middle, text needs to move around a bit, but I like the "At their best" banner and the day/night doodad. Number 2b (I cleaned up some clutter):. Let me know what you think. I'll probably post this over at '88 Score as well. I'm an impatiend little feller. Upgraded cards are indicated by bold blue. 647 Major League Prospects (Chris Gwynn/Peter Smith). Anyhoo. this wasn't a great pack, but it'll do. A Pack To Be Named Later: 1991 Space Shots Series 2
http://apacktobenamedlater.blogspot.com/2015/04/1991-space-shots-series-2.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. 1991 Space Shots Series 2. I'm a big fan of history and space and I'm not sure if I'd ever even seen these cards before. I'm sure Series 1 was similar, but the cards range from the early days of NASA and Space Exploration right up to the present day, which was 1991 when this set came out. Very cool. Plus the back of the cards have a ton of great information. This set would have been great had it included some autographs of these American Heroes. Labels: 1991 Space Shots Series 2.

Fielder's Choice Blog. April 10, 2009 at 11:53 pm Posted in Baseball. Of course I posed with it, and here I am with the official symbol of the Rays championship:. Seeing the trophy in person was definitely one of the happiest moments of my life, and this immediately becomes one of my favorite photos. It was awesome for the Rays to share the trophy with their growing legion of fans in North Carolina. William Harridge, by the way, was the president of the American League from 1931 to 1958. Wow, thats cool!

Fielder's Choice Blog. February 27, 2010 at 1:32 am Posted in Uncategorized. So I think it’s praise-worthy when a card company comes up with an idea that really is innovative, and they don’t over-do it to the point that collectors quickly become bored of the idea. One such recent idea is the Topps silk card. It’s the second Evan Longoria silk card in my collection. I bought this one, from 2009 Topps Series 1 and numbered 10/50, almost a year ago:. My first box of 2010 Topps Heritage. On Tuesday, February...

Fielder's Choice Blog. February 19, 2010 at 12:11 am Posted in Uncategorized. With all of the praise that I’m heaping upon Masterpieces, I suppose it’ll come as no surprise that my Evan Longoria Masterpieces cards are some of my favorite cards in my collection. Here’s what I have so far:. Up top is the base card, which was pretty easy for me to acquire, even though I managed to not pull any Longoria cards in the two hobby boxes of 2008 Masterpieces that I busted in the fall of 2008. A few weeks ago, for ...
